The Dr. Luis Betances Institute of Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery was founded in 2003. <\/p>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Formed by a multidisciplinary team of highly trained professionals, with the common goal of providing definitive treatment to patients affected by severe obesity, accompanied by periodic monitoring to ensure healthy weight loss.<\/p>

The Institute's operations center is the Center for Diagnostics, Advanced Medicine, Medical Conferences, and Telemedicine (CEDIMAT) in Santo Domingo; the Northern Medical Union; and the Metropolitan Hospital of Santiago (HOMS) in Santiago de los Caballeros.<\/p>
